Many useful things can be made out of glass. With magnifying glasses, microscopes and many other devices our scientists can work even better. Of course often things break in a laboratory but with enough crystal glass we can substantially bring forward our research!

Allows usage of crystal glass in order to finish research at your academy. When you have this technology, you will see in your academy a summary of how much crystal glass is needed to complete the current research technology. If your warehouse contains enough, a "Buy" button will appear. When activated, that amount of crystal glass is used up, and the remaining research points are credited to you, completing your current research without delay.

At the beginning, it takes glass equal to about 125% of the number of research points needed in order to 'buy off' that research. By the time the research is 50% complete, it would cost glass equal to 100% of the research points left. That ratio gets smaller the closer you are to completion, until it reaches about 75% of the remaining points needed.
So say you have research that would take 20,000 points to complete. At the very start of the process you'd need to pay 25,000 glass to finish it. At about the halfway mark, you'll have spent 10,000 research points and have 10,000 to go. It should cost 10,000 glass to complete the research at that point. When you get to the stage where you've only got 2,000 research points to go to finish, it will cost around 1600-ish glass to complete.
