A governor in your colony guarantees that all the daily administrative tasks are done properly. This lowers the level of corruption in your colony. The governor´s residence can also be upgraded to a palace if you ever want to move your capital.
It costs as much as the Palace and this building does not require Bureaucracy - you can build it on a empty space (red flag on it) on your colonies - but it does require Expansion as it is needed to be built in your colonies that do not have a Palace in them in order to control Corruption.

[edit] Expansion Details
- Please Note:
- There are some researches that help to reduce the building materials needed to build this building and they are cumulative: Pulley research reduces them by 2%, Geometry another 4% or 6% total and Spirit Level another 8% or 14% reduction bonus from the normal amount of wood and marble, sulphur, crystal glass, or wine required to build the buildings.
- The research bonuses are not shown directly in the following chart.
These bonuses are shown by hovering your mouse over the individual resource numbers in the chart ( Pulley = 2% total, Geometry = 6% total and Spirit Level = 14% total).
- Extra Notes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 To keep corruption at 0 the Governor´s Residence's level in each colony should be equal to the number of colonies you have, not counting the capital. (e.g. if you have a capital and 3 colonies, the Governor´s Residence should be at level 3 to keep corruption at 0.)
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Accumulated master builder score, i.e. how many points does a building of this level add to the master builder score. Multiply by 0.01 in order to calculate the value for the overall score in the highscore.
- ↑ This table shows how many colonies you can build with each palace level, and the warehouse required to upgrade to that level. The building researches above can discount the costs enough that you may be able to use a lower-level warehouse; for example, to build a level 4 palace with Spirit Level only requires a level 15 warehouse.
- ↑ 4.0 4.1 4.2 4.3 4.4 4.5 4.6 4.7 Levels 5 through 12 do not show up on the in-game Help pages anymore due to the Soft cap that Gameforge enacted in v.0.2.5!
As of v.0.2.0 the information in this chart was 100% accurate.
