The town wall is a building that protects your citizens against your enemies and the sun. Beware! Enemies will try to tear holes in your wall or to climb over it. The wall covers all around your village.

[edit] Garrison Limits

A wall contributes to your Garrison Limit. Every level of the wall provides +50 units of space. The simple equation of 250 + (Town Hall Level + Wall Level) * 50 will yield your overall Garrison Limit. If your defending army exceeds this number you will be forced to fight on the open battlefield format until your losses bring your total army size below your Garrison Limit. Once your army is smaller than your Garrison Limit it retreats behind the wall and the battle continues.

[edit] Walls In Combat

When your city is attacked your wall is the first line of defense. Your wall occupies the front line of combat protecting your army and citizens until your opponent breaches the wall. While protected by the wall your Ranged, Artillery, and Air units can engage the enemy. Your wall will also engage your enemies front line, with its own attacks.

All wall sections have their own Hit Points, Attacks and Armor. Every level your Wall will gain additional Hit Points, and every 3rd level it will gain Armor. Your wall also gains Damage at every level, however, your wall makes significant gains in Damage and Damage scaling at levels 10 and 20. Your wall's Accuracy also increase at levels 10 and 20 only.

As your enemy breeches a wall by doing enough damage to a section, your front line will fill in with heavy infantry. Once the entire wall is breeched flankers will engage each other, in the case that one side has no flankers or all flankers have been killed, the other side's flankers will now be able to engage his enemies ranged units in melee combat. The number of sections of your wall is determined by your Town Hall size.

Please Note:

  • There are some researches which reduce the resources required for the construction of buildings.
Pulley reduces the required amount of resources by 2% (2% total)
Geometry reduces the required amount of resources by 4% (6% total)
Spirit Level reduces the required amount of resources by 8% (14% total)

Architect's Office reduces the  Marble requirements by up to 32%
Carpenter reduces the  Wood requirements by up to 32%
Firework Test Area reduces the  Sulphur requirements by up to 32%
Optician reduces the  Crystal Glass requirements by up to 32%
Wine Press reduces the  Wine requirements by up to 32%

Alchemist's Tower increases the production of  Sulphur by 2% for every level built.
Forester's House increases the production of  Wood by 2% for every level built.
Glassblower increases the production of  Crystal Glass by 2% for every level built.
Stonemason increases the production of  Marble by 2% for every level built.
Winery increases the production of  Wine by 2% for every level built.
