Merchants and traders do their business at the trading post. There is always a deal to be made or a bargain to be had. However, merchants from far away tend to head for big and well known trading posts!

The capacity of your trading post - i.e. the total number of resources you can offer for sale at once - is increased with every expansion. The range of your trading post is increased with every second expansion; thus at levels 1 or 2 you see only your island and those immediately adjacent; at levels 3 and 4 you see 2 away; at levels 5 and 6 you see 3 away, but some of the stated distances may be 4 or 5. Since Patch 0.3.2, you can see the other traders' Trading Port level, so that you know how long you have to wait for the resources to be loaded.

See Trading for more information.

Notes:
  1. A Soft cap is a maximum level that is shown in the in-game Help (Ikipedia) section of Gameforge's games. However, structures can be built to higher levels than what is shown until you reach the Hard cap.

Capacity calculation : Capacity = 400 * Level² (level 9 => 400 * 9² = 400 * 81 = 32400)
